The X Factor has been a number 1 show in the U.K. since 2004, so Simon Cowell brought The X Factor to America in 2011.

Season 1 just wrapped up and there has been a major overhaul regarding the X Factor judges and host.

The premise of the show is simple.  The X Factor wants to find the most talented entertainer out of hundreds of thousands X Factor wannabes.

The show is similar to American Idol in that regards.  The difference is, the X Factor is open to all ages and the winner receives a $5 million recording contract.

Simon Cowell is one of the executive producers, as well as an X Factor judge.
